Rescuing the Midlands’ Most Vulnerable Animals — One Foster at a Time

A no-kill, foster-based rescue in Lexington & the South Carolina Midlands — caring for kittens, puppies, pregnant and nursing animals, special-needs cases, and community cats through TNR.

Our Mission

In service of domestic animals in South Carolina, Frisky Business Rescue is a no-kill rescue that provides vital resources such as veterinary care, birthing assistance, medication, and rehoming or safe release (TNR) to the most vulnerable animals in the region. We specialize in animals with special circumstances that come from various backgrounds, including animal hoarding and abusive situations but primarily focus on vulnerable kittens, puppies, and pregnant/nursing dogs and cats. Before rehoming, we carefully screen new potential families to ensure the needs of our animals can be met and that new homes will become furever homes.

What Makes Us Different

Foster-Based

We have no shelter facility. Every animal is cared for in a real home, so we understand their personality, habits, and needs before adoption.

Medically Intensive

We take on the hard cases — birthing assistance, bottle-feeding neonatal kittens and puppies, and ongoing special-needs medical care.

Community Cats & TNR

We trap, neuter, and return or safely release community cats — reducing suffering and stabilizing local colonies humanely.

Meet Our Animals

Our adoptable cats, dogs, and rabbits are looking for their furever homes. Because we’re foster-based, meet-and-greets are by appointment — and our cats can be a little shy!

Our Story

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit since 2022, Frisky Business Rescue was built on a simple belief: the most vulnerable animals deserve a real chance. We serve Lexington, Richland, and Orangeburg counties — focusing on the animals that need the most help.
